Today marks the official month we get this boy HOME! Only 29 more days until I get to hug him!! I can't wait! He's working hard and finishing strong. Here's the latest. -K
HIIIIIIII MOM. Mi mamá. Oh, how I love you. Only 4 more weekly emails from me (and a facetime) and then I’ll be home and we can go eat sushi together and I can tell you all my adventures and you can tell me all of yours. We had a really lovely baptism yesterday which actually was on the year anniversary of when I baptized Marié in Union City. That’s fun. I love everyone. It was really nice and the entire ward was there and very supportive of her. Ysabelle is cool. President and his wife came up too which was fun. The members payed way too high of compliments of me. I don’t like being complimented in front of people because I don’t know how to act. My least favorite compliment was, “We as a bishopric and ward, have decided that Elder Nielsen is not allowed to go home.” To which I said, “NNNNOOPPEE!” But everything was successful and we had my best friend Jimmy there to watch it and I love that kid so much. He has a baptismal date for the week before I go home and I know I was meant to teach him because he is literally me. Funny kid. But anyway. Good week. Things are good. Are you going to get sick of Hamilton by the time I actually see it with you? At least pretend you’re still excited to see it, ok? Practice your excited face. A few days after I get home I start my American Civilization class and I’m going to bring up everything I know about Hamilton as much as possible. Man I’m so excited to start studying again wow. I’ve learned really good study habits on my mission which I definitely needed. I’ve learned A LOT of really good things here. Especially the importance of family. You don’t need to do anything for me. Just make sure you’re at the airport on the 30th (right?) I’m doing just fine here. I’m a happy boy. Two baptisms my last transfer is a pretty good way to leave a mission. Sorry you had to pay for all of summer for my apartment. Just know that I can live on a blow up mattress and use cardboard as a desk. Don’t need that much. Anyway. I love you so much. So so much. Wow I love you. Thanks for being the best mom who has ever been a mom before. I’m a very happy boy. -me
