Jack's latest letter home. Have a great week! -K
It's me! I love you! I just got my hair cut and it feels so nice. The guy who cut it was named Adel and he's from Egypt. He was really nice and did a super good. Good job Adel. Love that guy.
We had a really good week full of really fun things. We had "Traditions" with the Taggerts where we went
up to their house and sang Christmas songs and got some training and stuff. That was really fun. President and I cut strawberries together. He things I'm funny. Probably because I am funny.
This week was also full of joy and Christmas cheer. Red Bank is all decorated for Christmas and I love it Every street has decorations and they had a tree lighting ceremony the other day which was really cute. And I don't know if you know this but the hispanic community goes hard for Christmas. Like Christmas starts on like the 12th and they just celebrate every day. So I'm super excited.
I love the church's initiative this month. We show it to a lot of people and I can see that it touches a lot of hearts. I've also seen what the worldwide efforts are doing and I am just so happy to see everyone full of charity and love. I was reading in the bible dictionary on the definition of the word "charity" and I really liked it. It says, "The highest, noblest, strongest kind of love, not merely affection; the pure love of Christ. It is never used to denote alms or deeds of benevolence, although it may be a prompting motive." I like that. I like how it doesn't define charity as money giving or deeds of benevolence, but the pure love and compassion we feel when we are charitable motivates us to help those of whom are in need of something, be it physical, mental, or spiritual.
We love our mini christmas tree and the advent calander so much. Holy guacamole you're such a crafty mom! It's a major part of our companion study every day. We sing the song together and read the scripture and read the cute little paragraph note. Thanks for sending them to us.
I am blown away at how fast the weeks go by which makes me super happy because that's the closer I get to my family! Have a good week and know that there is a boy in NJ who loves you.
